The convention shall be to elect officers for a two-year term and conduct any other business which may be considered proper and necessary.

Each club having membership in the Federation and having paid their dues into the Federation’s treasury at least 30 days before the Biennial Convention shall be entitled to representation at the Biennial Convention in accordance with the following:

  1. The President of each club shall be an ex-officio voting delegate and is entitled to an alternate.
  2. In addition, each club shall be entitled to one delegate for the first 10 paid active members and shall have one delegate for each additional 10 active members or fraction thereof consisting of 5 or more active members. Each delegate is entitled to an alternate delegate.
  3. The delegates and alternates shall be selected in such manner as their respective clubs prescribe.
  4. Delegates to the convention shall be uninstructed.
  5. All NMFRW Board of Directors members shall be ex-officio voting delegates and have no alternates.
  6. All past Federation presidents shall be voting delegates and have no alternates.

Delegates, alternates and guests are responsible for their own housing reservations.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Courtyard by Marriott Journal Center. Rates are $109.21, tax included per night and need to be booked by October 2, 2019. Call for reservations at 1-877-905-1919 and ask for the New Mexico Federation of Republican Women rate.

$135.00 until October 10, 2019 for early registration, after that date cost will be $150 which includes: Thursday evening Presidents Reception with Cash Bar and entertainment, Friday Registration, Breakfast in Main Hall, General Session Opening and Credentialing, Reading of slate of Officers and voting, Scrapbook and Newsletter contest announced, Elaine Miller/80 Year History of NMFRW, Afternoon Classes, Dinner with Lily Williams Keynote Speaker, swearing in of new officers by Rosie Tripp.

Friday Banquet – $40.00, Saturday Continental Breakfast – $25.00, Luncheon – $25.00.

Registration policy is if you attend any part of the meeting you must pay the entire amount.

NMFRW Bylaws require a final written report from Officers, Committee Chairs and Club Presidents. In an effort to allow more time for speakers, all oral reports should be condensed to a maximum of 3 minutes. Written reports should cover the entire two-year term.

Committee Chairs and Officers: Your report should be emailed to NMFRW President Rhonda Stockert at, Secretary Caren Lulich at and Candy Luhrsen, Newsletter Chair at by October 14, 2019. Chairs and Officers will have three minutes to give their summarized reports. The NMFRW Secretary will file all written reports.

Club Presidents: Written reports should be emailed to NMFRW Secretary Caren Lulich at and your Regional Directors by October 14th and should consist of a summary of all activity from 2018 and 2019.

Please submit a sampling of three (3) of the best of your club’s newsletters for judging at the convention. AWARDS will be presented at the General Session Saturday, October 26, 2019.
